Vancouver Island Photo Tours with Catherine Babault

Capture the beauty of Vancouver Island with a professional nature and wildlife photographer

Comox Valley

Join local professional nature photographer, Catherine Babault, for a unique and ethical photography tour off the beaten track on beautiful Vancouver Island. Quietly explore lush forests, misty estuaries and roaring cascades. Photograph an extraordinary variety of wildlife such as black bears, seals, sea lions, elk, bald eagles, owls, herons and many other birds. Wildlife viewing opportunities are excellent year-round: capture the spring and autumn wildlife migrations, the massive wildlife frenzy during the herring spawn in late winter or the peak of the salmon return from August to October. Immerse yourself in nature and hone your photo skills in the field with a professional. Catherine provides hands-on camera instructions and a slow-paced creative environment.

Catherine Babault hosts one day and multi-day private customized photo tours and group tours year-round, in English and French, since 2018. Itineraries are tailored to your skill level and interests: nature, wildlife or bird photography. Private tours and group workshops are limited to 3 guests (contact us for a larger group). Small groups allow for a highly flexible shooting environment and reduce our impact on the environment. We keep a safe and respectful distance from wildlife at all times.

Whether you are a seasoned photographer looking for a unique experience or a passionate photographer hoping to improve your skills in the field with a professional, Catherine will be delighted to show you some of her favourite places for nature photography on Vancouver Island and share her knowledge about photography and wildlife.

Tours depart from Courtenay (Comox Valley) and are hosted in the greater region of the Comox Valley, the Qualicum area, North Vancouver Island and Ucluelet, Tofino area.
