Mount Cain Ski Area is Vancouver Island North’s downhill riding destination, known for its powder skiing experience. The mountain operates as a community-run ski operation with a warm and welcoming culture. Open weekends, select Mondays, and holidays, the resort boasts virtually no line-ups or crowds. Located about 75 km south of Port McNeill, it offers a variety of runs for all skill levels. The on-hill accommodations include rental cabins, Kapitany Lodge, and the Main Lodge. Access road rules apply for uphill and downhill traffic. The ski area operates from mid-December to early April, providing a great winter escape for skiing enthusiasts.
