Travellers to central Vancouver Island by car can reach this region by taking BC Ferries from the mainland: via Tsawwassen to Duke Point or Horseshoe Bay to Departure Bay. Or, hop on Highway 19A to enjoy the scenic, Oceanside Route, connecting Nanaimo to Campbell River.
