Located on Tseshaht lands in Port Alberni, the Ahtsik Native Art Gallery specializes in traditional West Coast style art of the Pacific Northwest. Ahtsik, a Nuu-chah-nulth word, means to create to the best of your abilities. Artwork is selected based on beauty and craftsmanship principles. Owned by Tseshaht/Nuu-chah-nulth artist Gordon Dick, the gallery features local and regional artists' work, including woodcarvings, jewelry, masks, panels, sculptures, doors, and more. Visitors can also see Gordon Dick working in his on-site carving shed.
