It has been a hot and dry start to the summer season! You may have heard on the news that there are a significant number of wildfires in the Vancouver Island Region. While there are wildfires on the Island and in BC, the Vancouver Island Region is open for travel and the fires, though serious, are smaller in scale.
We did want to mention that unfortunately all of the fires on Vancouver Island are suspected to be human-caused, and would like to take this time to remind you to be Fire Smart on your travels. Always check Drive BC and the BC Wildfire Service map before you head out.
