They specialize in recycling scrap glass into wholesale giftware, crafting unique glass art, designing energy-efficient glass furnaces, and offering classes, workshops, and video instruction. The founder, Mark Lauckner, has been working in glass since 1977. He transitioned from stained glass to lampworking and fusing glass, eventually founding The Glass Foundry in 1996. The studio has recycled nearly 250,000 pounds of glass over the last 25 years and developed super-energy efficient glass furnaces. Mark is dedicated to creating glass art while conserving energy and promoting ecological awareness. The Glass Foundry's innovative furnaces have reduced traditional energy costs by 90% and are used in over 30 countries worldwide. Mark also teaches and promotes environmentally responsible technologies, constantly exploring new processes and creating stunning glass artworks.
